I am an AHRC-funded MPhil student at the Faculty of Music, and a member of King's College. Before coming to Cambridge, I read Music as an undergraduate at the University of Oxford.

Research Interests

I am interested in the relationships between music, culture and politics in the eighteenth century, especially in England. I am currently working on the politics of Handel's English church music, supervised by Ben Walton and Ruth Smith.

I am the music editor for the forthcoming Plays and Poetry of Nicholas Rowe, gen. ed. Stephen Bernard (5 vols., Pickering and Chatto, 2017). My reviews of performances and recordings for the British Society of Eighteenth Century studies can be found here:
