Rezeda Khurmatullina is Associate Professor of Kazan Federal University Russia). Rezeda graduated from the Kazan Conservatory as a pianist, accompanist and piano pedagogue. She is a winner of national and international competitions as a solo and ensemble player. Her second higher education was in Psychology, and she currently teaches her own original course, entitled ‘Practical psychology in music education’. She has a PhD in Education Studies. Her visit is financed by a government grant from the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Rezeda Khurmatullina’s research interests are: music pedagogy and performance, music ethnography, theory and music history.
While in Cambridge, she will study the traditions and practices of music education in Cambridge in order to compare it to the practices of higher music education in Russia and Europe.
