years to be signed up by Decca and the youngest-ever soloist to appear on the opening night of the Proms. He has won Gramophone’s ‘Young Artist of the Year’ and ‘Instrumental Award’; a Classic BRIT ‘Critics’ Award’, the UK ‘Critics’ Circle Award’ for Exceptional Young Talent and a Diapason d’Or ‘Jeune Talent’ Award. He has also been featured in two BBC television documentaries, on BBC Breakfast, The Andrew Marr Show and on CNN’s ‘Human to Hero’ series. Recognised for his electrifying performances, Benjamin’s eclectic programme ranges from the early Romantic masters to the waltzes of Ravel and Gounod/Liszt via the exquisite miniatures of Mompou and Medtner.
