Welcome to the Faculty of Music Open Day pages! 

The next Cambridge Hybrid Open Days will take place on 7 & 8 July, with smaller Open Days on 15 and 16 September 2022. For general information about the Open Days, visit: 

On 7 & 8 July, the Faculty of Music will be offering:

  • Information stands 10:00-16:30 - Current Music students and staff will be available to answer your questions about the Music course, performance opportunities and the experience of studying at Cambridge. Location: West Road Concert Hall foyer
  • Faculty tours 10:00-16:30 - On request at the information stands
  • Drop-in talks - Staff will be offering sample lectures to give you an opportunity to experience typical undergraduate Music teaching. Location: Recital Room, West Road Concert Hall
    • Thursday 7 July:
      • 14:00 - 'From musical notation to performance – and back again' - Professor John Rink
      • 15:00 - 'Reassessing Nationalism in Music' - Dr Martin Ennis
    • Friday 8 July: 
      • 14:00 - 'Signs and meaning in 19th-century music' - Professor David Trippett
