Cambridge Open Days 2018

The next University of Cambridge Open Days are on Thursday 5 July and Friday 6 July 2018. The open days are large-scale events organised by the central Cambridge Admissions Office in conjunction with the University Colleges and departments.

Between 10.00am and 4.00pm, we will have information stands at the Faculty of Law; these provide you with a great opportunity to come and talk to academics and musicians about studying music at Cambridge, and about the music-making opportunities that exist within the University. Subject specific sessions will be run by the Music Faculty in the afternoon of each of the Open days from 2.00-4.15pm:

  • 2.00-2.30pm: Tours of the Faculty of Music
  • 2.30-3.15pm: Dr Sam Barrett, Head of Department, will give a talk on studying music at Cambridge, the course, facilities and musical opportunities.
  • 3.30-3.50pm, Taster Lecture: Professor Ian Cross, 'Music/Science/Shopping'
  • 3.55-4.15pm, Taster Lecture: Professor Marina Frolova-Walker 'Shostakovich, Stalin and ******'

Booking for the 2018 Cambridge Open Days will open in April 2018. Please complete the Register Interest form to be notified when booking opens and to hear of other opportunities to visit the University and Colleges of Cambridge.
