Performance Co-ordinator (Part Time, Fixed Term)

We are seeking an experienced and pro-active administrator to support the effective delivery of musical performance activity in the Faculty of Music.

Cambridge is home to an outstandingly rich musical environment where you will provide support to Directors of our Faculty ensembles and across our undergraduate and graduate programmes, supporting a programme of concerts, workshops, masterclasses and other performance-related activity. You will provide effective administrative support to the Director of the Centre for Musical Performance Studies (CMPS) and the Director of Performance as well as liaising closely with Course Directors as required.

You will have well-developed communication skills with the ability to interact and negotiate confidently with a variety of administrative and academic colleagues, students, professional performers, audiences and others. You will have the ability to effectively convey information to audiences through advance publicity (print and web-based) and to produce accurate and informative concert programmes.

Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will have relevant work experience in a musical environment and an understanding of the Higher Education environment. You will be confident in the management of people, budgets and committees with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.

This is a part-time role at 0.4 FTE (14.6 hours per week). The funds for this post are available for one year in the first instance.
