Music Masterclasses are for academically able Year 12 students from any school/college (independent or maintained). They provide students with an opportunity to explore topics of interest beyond what is covered within the A Level syllabus and offer the chance to experience typical undergraduate teaching at Cambridge.
The day-long subject Masterclasses include two taster lectures given by members of teaching staff from the Faculty of Music; tours of the Faculty resources, including West Road Concert Hall, the historic instruments collection, and the Pendlebury Library; and an introduction to Studying Music at Cambridge including a Q&A about the admissions process with staff and current undergraduates.
