Borrowing Allocations

From January 2018 the following borrowing allocations will apply at the Pendlebury Library of Music:

Cambridge University undergraduate students: 

  • 10 standard printed items - 28 days - renewable
  • 5 overnight loans - between 3.45 pm and 10.00 am - not renewable
  • 5 AV items - 1 day loan - renewable 

Cambridge University graduate students:

  • 20 standard printed items - 56 days - renewable
  • 5 overnight loans - between 3.45 pm and 10.00 am - not renewable
  • 5 AV items - 1 day loan - renewable

Cambridge University staff:

  • 20 standard printed items - 56 days - renewable
  • 5 overnight loans - between 3.45 pm and 10.00 am - not renewable
  • 5 AV items - 1 day loan - renewable

Other user categories with borrowing rights: 

  • 10 standard printed items - 28 days - renewable
  • 5 overnight loans - between 3.45 pm and 10.00 am - not renewable
  • 5 AV items - 1 day loan - renewable

Fines and Fees

From January 2018, the same fines will apply across all fine charging University Libraries. Currently the amounts are set as follows: 

  • 0.25 GBP  per day for normal loans
  • 0.50 GBP for 1 day loans and recalled items
  • 1.00 GBP per hour for overnight loans 

You can pay your library fines in cash during the library’s opening hours, or pay them online (the minimum amount for online payments is £3). If you have any questions, please ask us.

Monday–Friday: 9.30am–5.30pm
Saturday: 9.30am–12.45pm
Sunday: closed

Out of Full Term
Monday–Friday: 9.30am–1.00pm; 2.00pm–5.00pm
Saturday and Sunday: closed
