Pendlebury Library opening times

Full term

Monday to Friday: 9.30 am – 5.30 pm

Saturday: 9.30 am – 12.45 pm (Easter term only)

Sunday: closed

Out of full term

Monday to Friday: 9.30 am – 1.00 pm and 2.00 pm – 5.00 pm

Closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

A first warning bell is sounded 30 minutes before closing time, and a second warning bell will sound 5 minutes before closing time.

You can return books outside of library opening hours if the Concert Hall building is open by placing them in the white return box to the right of the main library doors; this will be emptied the following working day and the return date set to the previous working day.

If the Concert Hall building is not open, there is a black book drop box on the Sidgwick Site between the English Faculty building and the site of the Stirling Building works; this is checked and emptied only once a week, so it is not recommended that you return an item requested by another user via this method, else you may receive a fine for the late return of the item.

N.B. Please do not return Pendlebury Library books to the University Library or any other college or faculty/department library, or use the red telephone booth return box outside the University Library.
