Our online Taster Day offers Year 12 students from non-fee-paying schools and colleges the chance to explore just how rich and varied the study of music at University can be. The afternoon, which runs from 2.00pm-4.30pm, will include two live and interactive half-hour classes; these will be based on two short pre-recorded lectures and their accompanying activity sheets, which will be sent out in advance. After these classes, and a short break, there will be a talk on Studying music at University, including a Q & A session with current undergraduates.
This is a great opportunity not only to expand your knowledge and understanding of various aspects of music and musicology, but also to encourage you to develop your critical thinking skills, all in a friendly and supportive environment.
