Deirdre Gribbin 

Hailed as "a charismatic and intriguing new voice in contemporary music" (The Independent), Deirdre Gribbin's music has been performed at The Lincoln Center in New York as well as garnering awards at the UNESCO International Rostrum of Composers. She also won an Arts Foundation Award for the opera Hey Persephone! for Aldeburgh and Almeida Festivals. 

Recently, Deirdre has been exploring links between music and genetics at Sanger Institute, Cambridge and UCL London, developing music codes from human DNA. She is Artistic Director of the Venus Blazing Music Theatre Trust, working with young people with learning disabilities.

Please note the venue for this Composer's workshop is Keynes Hall, King's College (entrance via the Chetwynd Room, off the bar).
