Rosie Johnson MBE

Rosie Johnson MBE has worked with composers for 40 years. She is currently Secretary of the Ralph Vaughan Williams Trust, in support of British composers. In previous incarnations she has been Director of SPNM (the Society for the Promotion of New Music - now part of Sound and Music), a composer manager for Chester Music, and, for 20 years, Executive Director at the Royal Philharmonic Society. Here she talks about the practicalities of working as a composer in today's climate. This promises to be an invaluable masterclass on how to write proposals, applications, and negotiate the business of being a creative artist.
