The Faculty of Music is pleased to host a talk by the anthropologist Prof. Charles Hirschkind on the 11th December 2018 at 3pm. The talk is part of the ERC-funded project ‘Past and Present Musical Encounters across the Strait of Gibraltar’ (for more information on the project, please see www.musicalencounters.co.uk). The talk will be entitled ‘Flamenco and the Rediscovery of Islamic Spain’ and is open to staff, students and interested public alike.
