Beethoven Septet in E flat, Op. 20
Beethoven’s youthful and light-hearted Septet is almost like an extra symphony containing all the engaging melodies and orchestral genius that pervade his musical output. Jacqueline Shave, Britten Sinfonia’s Leader directs this programme which also includes the premiere of a new work by William Cole, the 2013 winner of the University of Cambridge Composers Workshop.
