Faculty of Music

Sally Beamish

Sally Beamish is one of today’s most sought after composers. Her music embraces influences including jazz and Scottish traditional music, in a catalogue boasting over 200 compositions including solo, duo, chamber, orchestra, vocal, choral, ballet and opera works. Today’s Workshop offers a rare opportunity to hear her speak about her creative work.

The Faculty’s series of Composers’ Workshops is open to students in all years of the undergraduate music course, as well as masters and doctoral students, indeed anyone with an interest in the creation of new music. Because space is limited, please email Richard Causton (rjc94@cam.ac.uk) if you are not a Faculty member and wish to attend.
