The saxophonist and BASCA British Composer Award winner Trish Clowes has been going from strength to strength in recent years. Her fourth album for Basho Records My Iris was released in January 2017 to critical acclaim. Prior to this Clowes has worked with artists such as the BBC Concert Orchestra, Thomas Gould and Ian Bellamy. Frequent radio and television appearances including on the BBC’s Proms Extra programme have led a huge national and international reputation. Jamie Cullum has said of Clowes ‘This is British Jazz at its best…I assure you she is a great, great talent.’ Julian Joseph described her music as ‘ambitious, fresh and experimental. Trish is a talent to watch.

CUJO is Cambridge University's 20-strong premiere jazz ensemble, fresh from recent performances at Pizza Express Jazz Club in Soho, and the Cambridge Jazz Festival. They have collaborated with jazz legends such as Liane Carroll, Ian Shaw, Laurence Cottle, Mark Armstrong and, most recently, Soweto Kinch. They have toured Berlin, Budapest, Prague and Istanbul, and recorded a CD in Bordeaux in 2014.

Don’t miss this brilliant opportunity to see Clowes performing her compositions and as a soloist backed by the scintillating Cambridge University Jazz Orchestra.
