As part of King's College Chapel's 500th Anniversary celebrations, a concert of contemporary classical will focus around the works of Unsuk Chin and Judith Weir, composers who despite their calibre are seldom performed by students.

The programme features Judith Weir's 'Songs from the Exotic', sung by recent graduate Helen Daniels, and the ground-breaking Akrostichon-Wortspiel by Unsuk Chin, sung by Laura Monaghan, in which scenes from Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland and Michael Ende's The Neverending Story are brought to life in the most fantastical fashion.

The programme, conducted by recent graduate Benedict Collins-Rice and MMus Choral Conductor Eric Tuan, includes compositions written by current final year students Christopher Norman, Alex Tay, Max Liefkes and MPhil composer Rhiannon Randle, featuring mezzo-soprano soloist and recent graduate Helen Charlston.
