Performing Messiaen with Matthew Schellhorn and Jeremy Thurlow
2.00pm–3.40pm Extracts from Catalogue d’oiseaux performed by Matthew Schellhorn, followed by an open discussion on Messiaen performance with Maggie Faultless, Jeremy Thurlow and Matthew Schellhorn.
3.40pm–5.00pm Masterclass with Matthew Schellhorn
This event is being run in conjunction with Jeremy Thurlow's undergraduate course, Oliver Messiaen 1949-64: Experiment and Regeneration. Pianists, singers, and instrumentalists are invited to apply to perform in the masterclass.
Jeremy Thurlow will be performing Messiaen’s thrilling Messe de la Pentecôte on Friday, 9 February at 4.15pm in Selwyn College Chapel.
