Faculty of Music

Good breathing does itself. So how can we influence it for the better? In this class you will learn simple movements and shapes that prepare the body for freer, fuller breath; to deepen your body map to allow you consciously to harmonise with your instrument and your musical intention. You will also learn practical breathing exercises to help you cope with pressure or re-energise when you need a lift.

Anna is a musician, movement coach and cook, working at the intersection of wellbeing and excellence in performance practice. A graduate of the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, she holds teaching qualifications in Dalcroze Eurythmics, Yoga and the Alexander Technique.

These classes are suitable for all, even if you have no previous experience of the Alexander Technique or Yoga.

12 places per class. Email Chloe Davidson cnd26@cam.ac.uk to book your place. These classes are only open to participants.
