Join us for a discussion around the revolution in our musical lives that the revival of historically informed performance and early repertory has brought about. What were the forces that came together to create this radical shift in our musical taste, and what does it mean for the future of performance?

Nicholas Kenyon, currently the opera critic for The Telegraph, has had a wide and varied career spanning many facets of the music industry. In his early career, he was a critic and editor for several major newspapers and music magazines. In 1996, he was appointed Director of the BBC Proms, a role that he held until 2007, upon which he became the Managing Director of the Barbican Centre, a role that he left in September 2021.
