Outreach Coordinator for the Faculties of Architecture & History of Art and Music

Salary: £27,057 to £32,277

Limit of tenure: 01 09 2015 to 31 07 2016

The School of Arts and Humanities has a vacancy for an Outreach Coordinator to provide an ambitious portfolio of outreach activities for the Faculties of Architecture & History of Art and Music.

The Outreach Coordinator will organise a number of events across the year to showcase the research activities of all three departments in the local and national arena and will contribute to the University’s annual Festival of Ideas and Science Festivals. It is expected that the post-holder will work closely with the School’s Communications Manager when planning events. In addition, the Outreach Coordinator will organise educational outreach events to help widen participation and improve access for state school children.  S/he will also organise events to share the knowledge and resources available in the departments with the wider community.

You will have excellent communication and organisational skills and will have experience of designing and delivering outreach projects and events.   You should be educated to degree level and will have excellent IT and marketing skills.

The ability to work to deadline and manage a tight budget are necessary.  You will have a good understanding of health and safety legislation and the regulations surrounding child protection.  You will be experienced in writing risk assessments.
