The Faculty of Music is delighted to welcome Errollyn Wallen CBE, composer and alumna of the Faulty and King’s College, as the holder of this year’s Wort Residency. Described by The Observer as “the renaissance woman of contemporary British music”, she is a leading figure in today’s musical world, as respected as a singer/songwriter as she is a composer of contemporary new music. She is an influential an inspirational role model for young musicians and is respected and admired by fellow composers and performers alike. 

During her Residency, Errollyn Wallen will be working with the Cambridge University Orchestra on performances of her music, giving a Colloquium, and performing songs from the Errollyn Wallen Songbook, as well as meeting with students individually. These exciting events promise a fascinating insight into the music and vision of one of the leading creative artists of our time.

Errollyn will be in residence during late November/early December 2021 and again in Spring 2022.
