Giulio Minniti is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellow, conducting research on early medieval musical marginalia added to non-musical host manuscripts. His current work at the Faculty of Music is a continuation of a previous postdoctoral position held at the History Department of the University of Oslo, where he was part of a multidisciplinary team studying all such unrelated early medieval marginalia, not only musical.
He holds a doctorate from Harvard University, with a dissertation on the origins of the so-called 'Benevetan' neumatic notation that was used in Latin Southern Italy between 900 and 1200.
