Tim Horton is an Affiliated Lecturer at Cambridge University's Faculty of Music, where he teaches style composition.
For over 25 years, Tim has taught composition, music analysis, harmony, counterpoint and music theory. His Ph.D (Cambridge University, 2004) was in music analysis and music cognition, and his research interests include the cognition of pitch structure in tonal music, and harmonic language in tonal musical styles from the late 19th Century to the present day.
