Eirini (Irene) is a Greek-Australian PhD student at Cambridge under the supervision of Professor Marina Frolova-Walker. She is a graduate of King’s College London and the University of Oxford, where she completed a Master of Studies in Musicology, graduating with Distinction. While at Oxford, Eirini was supported by the Crewe Graduate Scholarship. Eirini’s musicological research reflects her interests in the post-revolutionary musical landscape in Russia and the resonance of Russian revolutionary theory and practice abroad, particularly in Greece. The title of her thesis is: Echoes of the October Revolution: Greek Musical Culture from 1917 to 1949.
