Born on 27 February 1959 in Paris, Frédéric Durieux began piano lessons at the age of 5. He continued his musical education at the Conservatoire national de région in Grenoble (harmony and counterpoint), earning there a gold medal in Harmony (1981).

Quatuor Bozzini has been an original voice and strong advocate in new, experimental and classical music since 1999. Driving the hyper-creative Montréal scene and beyond, the quartet cultivates an ethos of risk-taking, experimentation, and collaboration, venturing boldly off the beaten track.
