Nicola LeFanu

The composer of over a hundred works, Nicola Lefanu has been commissioned by the BBC, by festivals in UK and beyond, and by leading orchestras, ensembles and soloists. She has a particular affinity for vocal music and has composed eight operas. Lefanu was Professor of Music at the University of York between 1994 and 2008.

 

The Faculty’s series of Composers’ Workshops is open to students in all years of the undergraduate music course, as well as masters and doctoral students, indeed anyone with an interest in the creation of new music. Because space is limited, please email Richard Causton (rjc94@cam.ac.uk) if you are not a Faculty member and wish to attend.
