Baroque Workshop for string and continuo players

Directed by Maggie Faultless and Rachel Stroud

In addition to being Director of Performance, in Cambridge, Maggie is Head of Historical performance at the Royal Academy of Music and  a co-leader of the Orchestra of the age of Enlightenment

Rachel Stroud is a baroque violinist and musicologist, and recently completed a Ph.D. at King's College, Cambridge, exploring issues of notation and performance in Beethoven's late string quartets.

As well as the Collegium ensemble, there is a University viol consort run by Fretwork’s Emily Ashton. The group meets regularly to rehearse and perform, coached by a variety of highly experienced professional players. Please for more information.
